By accessing or using PlateMonitor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

PlateMonitor provides:

  • Vanity license plate availability checking for supported states
  • Watchlist monitoring with email notifications
  • Links to official DMV websites for plate registration

We do not sell or register license plates. We only provide information about plate availability based on publicly available DMV data.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions:

  • Are billed in advance on a monthly basis
  • Automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard
  • No refunds for partial months (except for Lifetime plans)

Lifetime plans are one-time purchases with no recurring fees.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access restrictions
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from our service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of plate availability information
  • That notifications will be sent immediately or at all
  • That plates will still be available when you attempt to register
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlateMonitor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
